The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
